Owner has been unable to negotiate a release with a caller claiming to have "Rocky."
Bethlehem police are looking into a suspected dog theft after his owner could not negotiate his release from a caller who said he or she has the animal. Rocky is a 4-year-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix, which went missing on May 12, according to a Craig’s List posting. His owner, Maria Dorsey of 531 Atlantic St., put up signs in her neighborhood in addition to the Craig’s List ad. According to a police media report issued this morning, Dorsey has received cell phone calls from someone saying they have Rocky, but want a reward for his return. “Negotiations for the return of the dog appeared have failed despite the reward,” the police media release said.
