Police: Missing Dog Might Have Been Kidnapped

Owner has been unable to negotiate a release with a caller claiming to have "Rocky."

Bethlehem police are looking into a suspected dog theft after his owner could not negotiate his release from a caller who said he or she has the animal. Rocky is a 4-year-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix, which went missing on May 12, according to a Craig’s List posting. His owner, Maria Dorsey of 531 Atlantic St., put up signs in her neighborhood in addition to the Craig’s List ad. According to a police media report issued this morning, Dorsey has received cell phone calls from someone saying they have Rocky, but want a reward for his return. “Negotiations for the return of the dog appeared have failed despite the reward,” the police media release said. You are right Nancy Jo, schools do need better funding to allow teachers to teach instead of having to police students, however teaching kids the proper values begins at a very early age IN THE HOME. A child should be taught not to steal, vandalize or otherwise cause harm. Kids need to be taught that you do not take what is not yours.
