Professional Background: For the past 14 years I've been teaching college English, first in New York, at the College of Staten Island, then (since 2003) in Bethlehem, at Northampton Community College. Before I taught, I had a long career in communications technology, working for New York Telephone, A.T. & T., and Bell Atlantic.

College: I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at the College of Staten Island (C.U.N.Y.), where I earned a B.A. and M.A. in English.

Roots: I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, later moved to Bay Ridge, and finally crossed the Verizano to Staten Island, where I lived for almost 12 years. In 2002, I and my family moved to Bethlehem,  where I hope to spend the rest of my days.

Interests and Hobbies: I enjoy reading contemporary literary fiction, listening to music (mostly Blues and Jazz) watching movies, playing guitar, and playing chess.

Favorite authors: John Updike, Philip Roth, Margaret Atwood, Bobbie Ann Mason, Don Delilo, Jhumpa Lahiri, Salman Rushdie, Michael Chabon.

Favorite Movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. (Really anything written and / or directed by Charlie Kaufman.
