Seven homes and seven vehicles were burglarized early Saturday morning, with purses, money and electronics being reported stolen before 3:45 a.m.

At 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Palmer police responded to a reported burglary on Tatamy Road. That investigation led to an arrest, and that person allegedly had items stolen in the Forks burglaries.

Dorney's news release did not identify the burglary suspect, and he deferred in supplying that information to Palmer Township. Neither department was immediately available for comment Sunday morning.

The chief asked anyone with information to contact township detectives through the Northampton County non-emergency line: 610-759-2200. He also reminded residents to keep their doors and cars locked and to report any suspicious activity to police.
