Bankruptcy Confirmed for Schutt Sports

A federal judge has confirmed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a Palmer Township sporting goods company.

Schutt Sports Inc., won the signature of the bankruptcy judge on a May 10 confirmation order, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

Creditors “overwhelmingly voted to accept the plan,” Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin J. Carey from Delaware said in his order, the report said.

In February, Schutt Reconditioning, a branch of Schutt Sports, signed a multi-year lease in a property at McFadden Road in the Palmer Industrial Park.
