Five Things to Look For This Week

Here are five things to look for this week in Palmer and Forks townships:

1. The American Red Cross will host a Dog and Cat First Aid course on Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Forks Township Community Center, 500 Zucksville Road. The event is open to all ages.
2. The Forks Township Community Center is hiring. A permanent part-time monitor position is available. Applicants are asked to submit resumes by July 18. Applications are available at the community center, 500 Zucksville Road. For more information on qualifications, visit the township parks and recreation website. 
3. The Forks Township Planning Commission will meet at 7pm Thursday in the township municipal building, 1606 Sullivan Trail.
4. The Forks Township Real Estate office will be open for extended hours in August. The office will be open from 10am to 2pm on Monday, Aug. 15 and Wednesday, Aug. 31. These hours are in addition to the office’s normal business hours of 8am to noon Tuesdays and noon to 4pm Thursdays.
5. The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for 7 tonight and the Palmer Township Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 7pm Tuesday have been canceled.
